George and Amal are basically the new Elizabeth and
Richard, without the drama.
When you’re Amal
Clooney, you must fill like a bit of a spare part when you attend Hollywood
film premieres on your hubby’s arm.
Don’t get us
wrong, we think Mrs Clooney is amazing (she’s not only a bad a** barrister but
something of a style maven to boot), but when you’re George Clooney’s date you
must find yourself getting overlooked on occasion.
Not last night
though.
The prom-inspired frock was a daring look (which is
usually donned by 20something stars) for the barrister, but she looked pulled
it off with serious aplomb.
The 37-year-old
rocked up to her husband’s “Hail, Caesar” premiere in LA looking like a
couture queen.
Wearing
a Giambattista Valli covered in red flowers and boasting a full and flirty
skirt that accentuated her long, lean legs, Clooney proved she’s got some
serious red carpet game.
What a dapper duo these two are.
She teamed her
frock with pointed, metallic heels and a box clutch and swept her dark locks up
into a contemporary do that cascaded down, and framed, the left side of her
face.
Finishing the look
with a lick of red lippy, which perfectly matched the appliquéd flowers on her
bright white frock, Mrs Clooney looked more on point than ever before.
A winning
look.
