The highly-anticipated Boy Meets World spinoff series, Girl Meets World, has set its premiere date with some beloved characters returning to guest star.
Prepare to get your world rocked, girl! Disney Channel has set a premiere date of Friday, June 27, for the highly-anticipated Boy Meets World spinoff, Girl Meets World.
Prior to the series' premiere, a Boy Meets World marathon will take place on the Disney Channel Sunday, June 15, to refresh fans of the '90s show (and new generation viewers!) and their favorite characters, Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence.
Both Ben Savage, 33, and Danielle Fishel, 32, will reprise their roles as Cory and Topanga, only this time around, they're grown ups! The now-married couple is helping their 12-year-old daughter Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard) navigate her way through the world. This is Savage and Fishel's first official onscreen reunion since the series wrapped in 2000.
In addition to setting its premiere date, the network confirmed the return of fan favorites in guest-starring roles. Mr. Feeney (William Daniels) will impart his wisdom and insight on life, along with Cory's bad boy best friend Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong). Resident nerd Minkus (Lee Norris), Harley Keiner (Danny McNulty), and Cory's parents (William Russ and Betsy Randle) will also appear on the show.
Additional cameos will come from Glee's Jane Lynch, Herbie Hancock, Willie Garson, and the Mary Tyler Moore Show's Cloris Leachman. by nivel
