Happy coincidence! Katy Perry and Niall Horan were photographed leaving Soho House shortly after each other in downtown New York City on Wednesday, Dec. 4. The snapshots prompted rumors that the two pop superstars had enjoyed a dinner date together, but the 20-year-old One Direction singer set the record straight the next morning on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.
Did they dine together? "No," Horan said. "I was in there and I think she was doing an interview or something and she was there. I was leaving and she left and we didn't have dinner or anything together," he explained. "I just said, 'Hello' to her."
Horan was spotted leaving the club wearing a Los Angeles Lakers cap, gray coat and jeans. For her solo night out, John Mayer's girlfriend, 29, wore a stylish gray coat, knee-high boots and blue knit hat.
Though Horan may not have had the pleasure of enjoying Perry's company in the Big Apple, the boy band member did admit on Ryan Seacrest's show that he has a crush on the pop star. "Who doesn't have a crush on Katy Perry?" he asked.
The Irish singer has already made his affections known to Perry in the past. After meeting backstage at an event in Tokyo on Nov. 1, he posted a photo of the two of them together and fake proposed. "She said yes!" he joked. "It's happening! Haha." Shortly after he posted a photo of his One Direction band members posing with Perry and captioned the shot, "Me and my groomsmen and my lovely wife hahahaha."
