I can't put my finger on it: Kelly Brook flashes a mystery ring as she hits the shops... but it vanishes as she returns home later that day

They say forewarned is forearmed, and so it was a well prepared Kelly Brook who ventured out on Tuesday afternoon in a thick padded jacket.

Indeed, the model and actress was well wrapped against the biting cold after leaving her London pad for a quiet stroll and a quick visit to a local Starbucks.

But while Kelly did well in keeping her toned body covered, she appeared to have overlooked the all-important gloves – and as she raised an exposed hand to the patterned scarf wrapped around her neck she revealed a very distinctive ring on her engagement finger.

The TV personality celebrated her 34th birthday on Saturday, and she appeared to be in high spirits as she joined a friend for the shopping sojourn.

At one point she stifled a grin, pulling the thin scarf at her throat over her mouth while keeping her other hand buried deep in her coat pocket.

Curiously, Kelly’s mystery ring was missing later that day, when she was spotted sashaying across the pavement clutching a fruit smoothie.

The brunette is thought to be single following her split with rugby player Danny Cipriani, but rumours of a romance with singer Andy Lawson have been circulating ever since she appeared in the video for his band’s latest single, Juliet.

The handsome front-man was pictured with Kelly at the opening of her new business venture, 1940’s Americana themed bar and restaurant Steam & Rye, during its grand opening last week.

The new establishment, located in the old Bank Of New York building on Leadenhall Street in the City of London, has a 1940s retro theme.

Speaking to MailOnline in September, Andy admitted that he hadn’t set eyes on Kelly since her appearance on the set of the Lawson video in a figure-hugging red dress – but hoped to hook up with her at some point in the future.

‘To be honest, when we finished the video we went straight to America,’ he said. ‘When I read (the stories) I was like ‘Apparently I’ve been dating Kelly Brook, boys.’

‘I’ve seen (the articles). I think obviously they got ahead of themselves by saying we’ve been dating, but we got on great that day and hopefully we’ll keep in touch in the future and hopefully she can come and see a gig sometime soon.’
