Carey Mulligan Goes Back to Brown, Shows New Hairstyle at Inside Llewyn Davis Premiere: Picture by Nevel

Back to her roots! Carey Mulligan stepped out on the red carpet at the premiere of Inside Llewyn Davis in NYC Saturday night revealing new brown locks. The 28-year-old actress (dressed in Alexander McQueen) debuted the new 'do with hubby and Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford in tow at the New York film festival.

The film is a collaboration of sorts for the married couple of over a year. Mulligan stars in the film alongside Oscar Isaac and Justin Timberlake, which centers on a week in the life of singer Llewyn David (Isaac) trying to find his way through the folk scene in 1961. In addition, it was announced earlier this week that Mumford, 26, and his bandmates teamed up for the track "Fare Thee Well (Dink's Song)" for the Coen Brothers film. Timberlake, 32, and Mulligan also have songs on the album, produced by T-Bone Burnett.

"I'm a fan of 60s music. I got immersed in that world a little bit more and spending time with T-Bone Burnett was amazing," Mulligan told Us Weekly on the red carpet. So, would she ever make her own album? "I can say absolutely, 1000 percent, never," she laughed.

As for why she decided to join the cast, she added: "To be in a Coen brothers film. That’s every actors dream."

Inside Llewyn Davis debuts May 19. Its album hits stores Nov. 12.
